I’m not kidding – we truly do live in the most technologically advanced era of all time. People and machines work together with such proficiency and efficiency that it sometimes seems like we’ve finally reached the pinnacle of human evolution: somehow, despite our impressive inventiveness, we’ve been surpassed by the devices around us. But this is a problem that won't be solved by replacing our laptops with jetpacks or ditching computers for pencil-and-paper notes. In fact, as more and more people become reliant on technology to function, the simpler their world becomes – sometimes too simple. That's a noble cause, and it's why I'm here – so I can share my thoughts on how to ensure that we have a positive relationship with our technology – or at least a decent one... ...The subject of this article is privacy. Without privacy, we have nothing – no freedom, no security, no peace. And the irony is that the more involved we are with technology, the more vulnerable we are to losing our privacy. But there's good news. There are ways to prevent people from snooping around in your business. And the first step is understanding the dangers lurking out there. Let's face it – you can't fight something you don't know about. So let’s take a look at the different ways in which technology is invading our privacies, and what we can do about it, shall we? Voyeurism Before getting into the more serious stuff, I think it’s important to mention one of the more amusing things about this digital era: voyeurs. cfa1e77820
